What was the true purpose of that 1776 "Declaration of Independence"?

In the first paragraph of that 1776 “Declaration of Independence” a united “one people” clearly implied the two purposes for which that document was drafted and the process by which its purpose to establish a “separate and equal station” for “the people” could be achieved.  Every casual reader is capable of including the numbers “1”, “2” and “3”, and prefacing the “process” with meaningful words where evident.  In so doing, that first paragraph may read:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to
(1) dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and
(2) to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them,
(The process includes) a decent respect to the opinions of mankind (and) requires that they (mankind) should
(3) declare (be vocal about) the causes which impel them to the separation.
